ହରମୋନ ପୁନସ୍ଥାପନ ଚିକିତ୍ସା (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Hormone replacement therapy/HRT ), ଯାହା ଋତୁବନ୍ଦ ହରମୋନ ଥେରାପି ଭାବରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଣାଶୁଣା, ଋତୁବନ୍ଦ ସହିତ ହେଉଥିବା ଲକ୍ଷଣଗୁଡିକର ଚିକିତ୍ସା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହରମୋନ ଚିକିତ୍ସାକୁ କୁହାଯାଏ । [୨] ଏଥିରେ ଉଷୁମ ଲାଲିମା, ରାତିରେ ଝାଳ ବୋହିବା, ଶୁଷ୍କ ଯୋନୀପଥ ଏବଂ ମନୋବଳ ସମସ୍ୟା ହୋଇପାରେ । [୩] ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଏହି ଲକ୍ଷଣଗୁଡିକ ପାଇଁ ପରାମର୍ଶିତ ହରମୋନ ଚିକିତ୍ସା କରାଯାଏ ।[୨] ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳୀନ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ୟା ଯେପରିକି କର୍କଟ, ହୃଦ ରୋଗ କିମ୍ବା ଓଷ୍ଟିଓପୋରୋସିସ୍ ଥଲେ ପାଇଁ ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବହାର ସୁପାରିଶ କରାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ ।[୪] ବ୍ୟବହାର ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ ମିଆଦି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦିଆଯାଇଛି ଏବଂ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ମାର୍ଗରେ ଦିଆଯାଇ ପାରେ ।[୪] [୧]

ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟାରେ ପିତ୍ତାଶୟ ରୋଗ, ଷ୍ଟ୍ରୋକ, ଅନିଚ୍ଛାକୃତ ମୂତ୍ରତ୍ୟାଗ ଏବଂ ରକ୍ତ ଜମାଟ ବାନ୍ଧିପାରେ; ଯଦିଓ ଏହି ଖରାପ ଫଳାଫଳ ଯୋଗୁ ସାମଗ୍ରିକ ଫଳାଫଳ ସଙ୍କଟ ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁରେ କୌଣସି ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ ।[୪] ୬୦ ବର୍ଷରୁ କମ୍ ବୟସର ଲୋକଙ୍କ କ୍ଷତି ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଉପକାରର ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲାଭକୁ ସମର୍ଥନ କରେ ।[୪] [୫] [୬] ଯକୃତ ଜନିତ ସମସ୍ୟା କିମ୍ବା ସ୍ତନ କର୍କଟ ରୋଗରେ ସାଧାରଣତଃ ଏହାର ବ୍ୟବହାର ସୁପାରିଶ କରାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ ।[୩] ଏହି ଔଷଧରେ ଇଷ୍ଟ୍ରୋଜେନ୍ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରୋଜେଷ୍ଟୋଜେନ ଥାଏ ।[୭] ଏଣ୍ଡୋମେଟ୍ରିଆଲ୍ କର୍କଟ ହେବାର ଆଶଙ୍କା ଏଡ଼ାଇବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରୋଜେଷ୍ଟୋଜେନ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ, ଯଦି ଗର୍ଭାଶୟ ଅପସାରଣ କରାଯାଇ ନଥାଏ ।[୪] ଟେଷ୍ଟୋଷ୍ଟେରନ୍ ପରି ଆଣ୍ଡ୍ରୋଜେନ୍ ମଧ୍ୟ ବେଳେବେଳେ ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୁଏ ।[୧]

୧୮୯୦ ଦଶକରୁ ହରମୋନ୍ ରିପ୍ଲେସମେଣ୍ଟ ଥେରାପି ବ୍ୟବହାର ହୋଇଆସୁଛି ।[୮] ୨୦୨୪ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଆମେରିକାରେ ଏହାର ପ୍ରକାର ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରି ଏହି ବାବଦ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ୧୦ରୁ ୫୦୦ ୟୁଏସ ଡଲାର ହୋଇଥାଏ ।[୯] ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଔଷଧ ତାଲିକାରେ ଇଷ୍ଟ୍ରୋଜେନ୍, ଏଷ୍ଟ୍ରାଡିଓଲ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୂକ୍ତ କରାଯିବା ବିଚାରକୁ ୨୦୨୩ ମସିହାରେ ସୁପାରିଶ କରାଯାଇନଥିଲା କିନ୍ତୁ ଏଥି ନିମନ୍ତେ ପୁନର୍ବିଚାର କରିବାକୁ ବିଚାର କରାଯାଇଥିଲା ।[୧୦] ୨୦୦୦ ମସିହାରେ ଜୈବିକ ହର୍ମୋନ୍ ବଦଳ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟ ହୋଇଥିଲା ଯାହା ଅଧିକ "ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ" ବୋଲି ଦାବି ହୋଇଥିଲା; ତଥାପି, ଲାଭ ଏବଂ ନିରାପତ୍ତା ଅସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଥିଲସ ଏବଂ ବ୍ୟବହାର ସୁପାରିଶ କରାଯାଇ ନାହିଁ ।ଆ[୮] [୧୧] [୧୨]
